Consecrated Life - General Information

Welcome!
Thank you for visiting
the Office of Consecrated/Religious Vocations!

"Consecrated life means going to the very root of the love of Jesus Christ with an undivided heart and putting nothing ahead of this love." - Pope Benedict XVI

Dawn Hausmann is the Director of Consecrated Vocations, Coordinator of Young Adult Ministry, and Delegate of Consecrated Life for the Lansing Diocese. She has been serving the Diocese of Lansing since 2011. She has a degree in Social Work from Michigan State University and a Master's in Theology from the Pontifical John Paul Institute for the Studies of Marriage and Family in Washington D.C.  She has a passion for spreading John Paul II's Theology of the Body, teaching Ignatian Spirituality, and helping people journey in vocational discernment.  She herself has responded to a call to the consecrated life in the vocation of consecrated virginity.  On November 16th, 2019, Dawn was consecrated to a life of virginity as a bride of Christ by Most Rev. Earl Boyea on the Feast of St. Gertrude.

If you are exploring the different ways a woman can give her life to the Lord as a Bride of Christ and in service to His Church, you've found the right place. If you are a man who is looking into a calling to follow Christ more closely in poverty, chastity, and obedience, you too have found the right page.  You will find many resources here to assist you in the discovery of your vocation.

Please feel free to reach out to her, she can help you during your discernment process.
