Feast of Saint Irenaeus
Dear Friend,
This week On the Road to Emmaus, we pause for another burst of Eucharistic inspiration.
“Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire.” So said the great 14th century Italian mystic, Saint Catherine of Siena. It’s true, though, isn’t it? It’s saints who have most changed the history of the world.
That’s why the discernment and pursuit of God’s will for our life – in matters big and small – is the most pressing task.
That prayerful discernment is made all the more possible, of course, when we draw close to Christ truly present in the Eucharist.
Just ask the Salata family from Ann Arbor. They are the focus of this week’s Inspiring Story as we continue our journey together On the Road to Emmaus. Enjoy this beautiful film!
