Watch: Week 19 | Be My Witnesses w/ Bishop Boyea | Belong: Live the Moral Life and the Commandments

Pope Saint Paul VI (1897 – 1978) once wrote, “Modern man listens more willingly to witnesses than to teachers, and if he does listen to teachers, it is because they are witnesses,” (Evangelii Nuntiandi, December 8, 1975). If this is true for individual teachers, it applies even more strongly to the Christian witness itself. But do we live, as a Church, what we preach? That's the question Bishop Earl Boyea of Lansing poses to each of us in Week 19 of Be My Witnesses, our year long journey towards being more effective in brining Christ to others and others to Christ. Bishop Boyea suggests using the Ten Commandments as a checklist to gauge our progress in the moral life and to inspire a firm purpose of amendment in those areas where we are faltering or failing.
