Here are some of the sounds and images from the Candlelit Prayer Vigil for Peace in Ukraine held at Saint Vladimir Ukrainian Catholic Church in Flint, Thursday, March 3.
“Ukrainians are not against Russians, Ukrainians want peace, and peace should be between two nations,” said Dr. Nyk Bartkiw, parishioner and co-organizer of the prayer event.
“What can prayer achieve? In our Ukrainian culture, prayer is very important. Ukrainians have been always have been very religious nation. We're hoping that prayer brings us together and understanding that we need to help each other. We need to be together. And that's the best thing I can ask for.” Our Lady, Queen of Ukraine, pray for them!
