Today marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Pope Saint John Paul II. Here’s a great story from Craig Pohl, Director of New Evangelization for the Diocese of Lansing, on the day in 1998 when, as a 21-year-old seminarian in Rome, he met Saint John Paul.
“Being so close to him you could definitely feel the presence of God in this man,” said Craig, May 18.
“And to know his heart, and his heart was that every man and woman is called to holiness – and there he was, really giving the best example he could have holiness, and truly, profoundly, impacting history with this example of holiness.”
Thank you Craig for sharing the remarkable memory. Pope Saint John Paul II, pray for us
