This Sunday is the Solemnity of Christ the King whereupon parishes across the Diocese of Lansing will take up the annual collection to assist the work of the diocesan Commission for Social Teaching. What is the commission and why should you consider donating?
Bishop Boyea established the Diocese of Lansing Commission for Catholic Social Teaching in 2020 to equip the faithful to understand Catholic Social Teaching and put it into practice in light of today’s important social issues. These include the sanctity of human life and the dignity of the human person.
The money raised helps provide small grants for parishes and other Catholic entities within the Diocese of Lansing seeking to promote Catholic Social Teaching. Bishop Boyea kindly asks you to prayerfully consider contributing to this collection. Thank you and God bless you for your generosity.
