Certified Billings Method Instructor
Maria graduated from Michigan State University in 1975 with a degree in nursing. She has practiced community health nursing since 1976 and currently works as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant at the local health department.
She has been a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Hillsdale, Michigan since 1986 and began teaching Natural Family Planning in 2006. She is a Certified Instructor for the Billings Ovulation Method.
Maria and her husband John have been married since 1972 and have two grown daughters.
Fertility Awareness Instruction
A two hour class that combines the **Introduction to Natural Family Planning and an Introduction to the Billings Ovulation Method are available most months at St. Anthony Church in Hillsdale. There is no charge for the class however a donation to help cover the cost of the materials provided is appreciated.
Couples must pre-register for a session by contacting Maria. Individual appointments can be arranged at St. Anthony or the location of your choice.
Follow up sessions are arranged for couples who choose to continue learning and practicing the Billings method. Couples will receive follow up until they are confident in using the method.
**The Introduction to NFP includes information on Theology of the Body, Church Teaching on the Sacrament of Marriage, the Science of Fertility Awareness and the availability of all basic NFP methods in the diocese as well as health risks associated with contraception use.
