2022 Clergy Assignments

The Most Reverend Earl Boyea, Bishop of Lansing, has announced the following clergy assignments, effective June 29, 2022:

Pastor:

Reverend Eric Weber to Pastor of Most Holy Trinity, Fowler, in addition to continuing as Pastor of Saint Mary, Westphalia.

Medical Leave:

Reverend Dennis Howard, from Pastor of Most Holy Trinity, Fowler, to medical leave of absence.

Leave of Absence:

Reverend Paul Donnelly, from Pastor of Christ the King, Flint and Our Lady of Guadalupe, Flint to leave of absence. 

Chaplain:

Reverend Anthony Smela, from Parochial Vicar for Saint John Vianney, Flint, to Chaplain at Powers Catholic High School, Flint.

Parochial Vicars:

Reverend Peter Lawrence to Parochial Vicar for Most Holy Trinity, Fowler, in addition to continuing as Parochial Vicar for Saint Mary, Westphalia.

Reverend Matthew Bonk, from Parochial Vicar for Saint Thomas Aquinas Parish and Saint John Church and Student Center, East Lansing, to Parochial Vicar for Saint John Vianney, Flint.

Administrators: 

Reverend Tom Firestone to Administrator of Christ the King, Flint, in addition to continuing as Pastor of St. John Vianney, Flint 

Reverend Anthony Strouse to Administrator of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Flint, in addition to continuing as Pastor of St. Pius X and St. Matthew, Flint. 

Senior Priest:

Reverend David Rosenberg to senior priest status.

Newly Ordained Priests:

Reverend Tyler Arens, upon priestly ordination, to become Parochial Vicar for Saint Mary, Star of the Sea, Jackson.

Reverend Peter Ludwig, upon priestly ordination, to become Parochial Vicar for Saint Thomas Aquinas Parish and Saint John Church and Student Center, East Lansing.

Transitional Deacon Assignments:

Reverend Mr. Corey Bilodeau, upon diaconal ordination, to serve as Deacon at Saint Mary Magdalen Parish, Brighton.

Reverend Mr. Shea Kettner, upon diaconal ordination, to serve as Deacon at Saint Joseph Parish, Howell.
