Thank you to all those generous souls who helped raise over $27,000 for Jackson’s Good Shepherd Catholic Radio at their annual fundraiser on Saturday. God bless you!

“God is good, all the time,” said Good Shepherd Catholic Radio Board Member Lucian Leone, February 5.

“Good Shepherd Catholic Radio went on the air in 2014, thanks to the hard work and prayers of our late founder, Doug Shumard, and many volunteers and donors. Over these 12 years, we have brought the Gospel and the teachings of the Catholic Church into the homes and cars in and around Jackson County.”

“The money raised on Saturday will help us to continue our mission to evangelize through Catholic radio. May God bless all our donors for their generosity.”

Saturday’s fundraiser was held at Jackson’s Lumen Christi High School. The evening began with Holy Mass, with Bishop Earl Boyea as principal celebrant and homilist. A celebration dinner followed. The guest speaker was Dr. David Anders, host of EWTN Radio’s show, Called to Communion.

Good Shepherd Catholic Radio operates in conjunction with the Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) and Ave Maria Radio, which is based in Ann Arbor. Good Shepherd can be found on FM at 93.3 W227BY or AM 1510 WJKN.

Popular features of Good Shepherd’s broadcast schedule include a weekly show featuring Bishop Boyea and live commentaries of Lumen Christi High School’s football games.
