The Deacons of the Diocese of Lansing hosted a Day of Healing in Flint at St. Mary Church on Saturday, August 26. Deacon Day was a great success! Well over 1,000 people attended over the course of the day. Nearly a thousand backpacks were distributed, the food lasted all day, and a lot of people were prayed with. Deacons and priests from around the area came to share their faith, experience adoration of the Holy Eucharist, offer healing and distribute school supplies and enjoy a picnic in the sun with friends from the neighborhood.
