Since 2004 young adults, of the state of Michigan, have gathered for the annual Michigan Catholic Young Adult Conference, MICYAC. The 2015 conference was held at St. Gerard Catholic Church in Lansing, MI. Bishop Earl Boyea led the Friday evening reflection and evening prayer. It was followed by Adoration and the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Bishop Michael Byrnes, from the Archdiocese of Detroit was challenging keynote. Several workshops were offered and the conference concluded with the 4:30 PM parish mass with Bishop Byrnes presiding. We were blessed with many ministry exhibitors, wonderful hospitality from the staff of St. Gerard, inspiration messages, wonderful music and prayer, and a faith-filled community of young adults focusing on our conference theme, “Written Upon Our Hearts".
