Habitat for Humanity of Lenawee County honored

Habitat for Humanity of Lenawee County was honored to be named the Adrian Area Chamber of Commerce's 2014 Addison J. Comstock Award winner. They received this award in observance of their neighborhood revitalization efforts. Habitat embodies the spirit of the award. It recognizes those who aggressively promote growth within the community, actively work to improve the quality of life for people, and is a leader involved in business, civic and community activities. They impact the future of the community through involvement in planning, visioning and effort.
Executive Director Lynne Punnett says, "We are honored to be chosen to receive the award. It is a testimony to the excitement and energy when we launched our Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative. This is what happens when you bring agencies, government, businesses, faith-based organizations and most importantly residents together to focus on revitalizing a community, one neighborhood at a time."

One of the most important steps to revitalizing a neighborhood is to get residents involved, and they have reason to celebrate because residents are involved in Adrian’s neighborhood revitalization at every level.
