National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children

Father Gregory Veneklase from the Diocese of Marquette led the prayer service on the second annual National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Lansing. The service included Scripture readings, the rosary and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy offered for the children and their mothers.St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery is one of 45 gravesites of aborted children in the United States. Members of Citizens for a Pro-Life Society, Priests for Life and the Pro-Life Action League, who are co-sponsors of the National Day of Remembrance, believe people should visit the gravesites and other memorial sites dedicated to aborted babies as part of their pro-life witness.
