St. Elizabeth, Tecumseh's Knights of Columbus

The St. Elizabeth, Tecumseh’s Knights of Columbus Council 9937 celebrated its 25th anniversary with a pizza party for their members and guests. The council was chartered on Dec. 4, 1988, with 42 members and has grown to 210.
Father Dan Wheeler has been the chaplain for the past 25 years. Deputy Grand Knight Phil Marvin says, “Father was instrumental in getting the Knights together.”
The members of the council are grateful for the support of the parish and community in their fundraising events, monthly parish breakfasts, yearly flower sale, golf scramble and numerous dinners. Their fundraising has allowed them to help support: members of their parish and local community; educational scholarships; Holy Cross Children’s Services (Boysville); St. Louis Center; the Tecumseh Service Club and many other programs.
Bob Meyer was the first grand knight. All previous past grand knights are living. Some members of the council were district deputies on three occasions.
