More than 880 men registered for the Accept the Challenge Men's Conference that was held February 23 in Lansing. Speakers included Dr. Scott Hahn, Deacon Harold Burke-Sivers and Al Kresta. Music was provided by Brian Flynn and Bishop Earl Boyea presided at the Mass. Dr. Hahn is a well-known writer and speaker who is a convert to Catholicism. His talk focused on “reading the Bible — reading it with you, and reading it ‘from the heart of the Church.’” Al Kresta hosts a popular radio show on Ave Maria Radio. Deacon Harold Sievers gives lectures, retreats, and seminars in parishes, workshops, and at numerous conferences across the nation and around the world. He is well-known for speaking on men’s spirituality.
