February is packed with activities sponsored by Marriage Matters Jackson (MMJ) – and all the fun isn’t just for married couples. In honor of National Marriage Week, Feb. 7-14, one lucky MMJ fan will win a free wedding dress – up to $1,000 – provided compliments of House of DeVaughn Bridal in Jackson. The registration will be open Feb. 7-14 at www.MarriageMattersJackson.com. A winner will be chosen and notified Feb. 15. In addition, an entire week of giveaways is planned for MMJ Facebook fans.Also in February, a romantic overnight getaway is scheduled for Feb. 22-23 at the beautiful Holiday Inn of Jackson. Participants will enjoy time together and a relaxing Marriage LINKS workshop. Couples can check in after 4 p.m.; the workshop runs from 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Friday and continues Sat. 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Lodging and Saturday’s meals are included in the $125 price.
At the end of the month, MMJ will be offering a fun five-week workshop for seriously dating and engaged couples at different venues around Jackson County. “Five Great Dates Before You Say I Do” runs every Thursday night Feb. 28-Mar. 28 from 7 p.m-9 p.m. It’s the perfect way for dating and engaged couples to explore important topics while enjoying a great date together. The $75 cost per couple includes the workshop and a special edible treat each week. Space is limited for each workshop.
