Watch as Tom Maloney, Superintendent of Schools for the Diocese of Lansing, welcomes back over 600 teachers and administrators, and more than 8,400 students, to schools across the diocese. Over the past four years the Diocese of Lansing's 36 schools have seen year-on-year enrollment growth. Praise God!
Tom also looks forward to next month's double canonization of Blessed Carlo Acutis (1991-2006) and Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati (1901-25) and holds up both young men as examples of youthful holiness pursued in the modern world.
Finally, Tom also proposes that Diocese of Lansing schools adopt Blessed Pier Giorgio’s motto "Verso l’alto" - meaning “to the heights" - as the motto for the forthcoming academic year. Watch and enjoy!
