Watch: Hillsdale Convert Stories #2 | Joyce Horn

“Devastating”. That’s the word Joyce Horn uses to describe the impact of her husband’s death eight years ago. Her sorrow was so great, she says, that it set her “on a journey” which has led to Joyce being received into the Catholic Church this weekend at the Easter Vigil at Saint Anthony parish in Hillsdale. Deo gratias.

“I've finally found where God wants me to be to worship him,” says Joyce who is among 23 converts at Saint Anthony this year.

“There's so much to the Catholic Church, with the saints, and just the vast learning of the Lord, and where we are in the whole scheme of God's plan for us."

"I am very much looking forward to the completeness of what the Catholic religion is, with the Eucharist and how powerful it is too.”

Saint Anthony of Padua, pray for her.

Saint Joseph, Patron of the Universal Church, pray for her.

Our Lady, Seat of Wisdom, pray for her.
