Introducing Portraits of the Call, a beautiful new film created by the Diocese of Lansing that profiles a range of divinely ordained vocations: priestly life, consecrated life and married life.
The Church proposes that each of us has a God-given mission in life. That is our vocation. Fulfilling what God has in store for us will bring the greatest joy to our hearts but discerning what that particular vocation might be is not always an easy task.
Over the past several months, the Diocese of Lansing has been filming and editing together this 20-minute vocations film featuring many different people from around the diocese. The result is Portraits of the Call. The aim of the film is to explain the different vocations that one may be called to and, crucially, how to prayerfully discern that calling.
Following the premiere on October 4, Father Mike Cassar, Director of Vocations for the Diocese of Lansing, and Dawn Hausmann, Director of Consecrated Vocations for the Diocese of Lansing, hosted a virtual vocation Q&A session over Zoom. We hope you find the film useful. Our Lady, Mother of the Church, pray for us.
