Watch: "A Christmas Miracle" feat. Deacon Kevin Orth

This time last year Deacon Kevin Orth was near death. The 53-year-old from Saint Jude Parish in DeWitt was fighting for his life in a hospital bed in Lansing, completely intubated and in a coma. His prognosis was so dire that extended family had flown into town to help make funeral arrangements.

With things looking so very bleak, the Knights of Columbus at Saint Jude began encouraging people to pray for the intercession of Blessed Father Michael McGivney, the Knights’ 19th century founder.

Then, at 4:30 a.m. on Christmas Eve, something remarkable happened. Deacon Kevin opened his eyes. As one of his nursing team exclaimed: "Oh, my gosh. That is a miracle!" Since then Deacon Kevin's recovery has been nothing short of astonishing.
