Watch as Diocese of Lansing seminarian, who is now, Father Seamus Kettner, is asked: "What excites you most about becoming a priest?"
Father Seamus hails from the parish of Saints Charles & Helena in Clio. He had considered the priesthood as a child but it wasn’t until he went to confession, while on pilgrimage to the shrine of Our Lady of Knock in Ireland as a college student, that he really began to hear the call of God in his life.
Deacon Seamus currently attends Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit. He was ordained to the diaconate in June 2022 and, Deo volente, will be ordained to the sacred priesthood on June 10, 2023 at St. Mary Cathedral in Lansing. Please do keep Deacon Seamus in your prayers in the months to come.
Saint Charles Borromeo, patron of seminarians, pray for him.
