On Monday, September 18 Bishop Boyea presided at St Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lansing at a committal ceremony honoring the unclaimed remains of around 300 dead. Sparrow Hospital asked the diocese for help in finding a final resting place for the individuals. The cremated remains of 274 stillborn children and 36 adults will be interred in a vault inside the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery mausoleum.
