St. Thomas' students act to help those in need

“May we never get use to poverty and decay around us. A Christian must act," Pope Francis tweeted April 3. Twice a month 7th and 8th grade students from St. Thomas Aquinas School in East Lansing act to help the least of their brothers at the Volunteers of America Community Kitchen in Lansing. The students arrive just after 4 p.m. and serve dinner until 6 p.m. Seventh-grader Hannah O'Farrell said, “It was a marvelous experience that brought joy to my heart.”
