St. Robert School’s spirit week

It was “Spirit Week” at St. Robert School in Flushing. The whole school was full of excitement and anticipation for the pep rally. Everyone participated. The coveted St. Robert School “Spirit Stick” was won by Mrs. Kelly’s 6th grade class acknowledging their 92% participation in the week’s activities and the Megaphone and Pom Award went to the 8th-graders for the loudest cheer. Also, during the pep rally, anyone could purchase a 3-foot section of tape and help tape SRS principal, Patrick Dowsett, to the wall in the gym. And they did! Even Father Paul joined in and put on the last 2 pieces of tape – in the form of a cross. Then the countdown began – 3 - 2- 1 and the bench was removed – Mr. Dowsett hung on the wall – for all of 4 seconds.
