St. Mary on the Lake’s stewardship dinner

As the guests entered the hall at St. Mary on the Lake, Manitou Beach, they chose crowns for the Kingdom of Heaven dinner. They were ready to enjoy a dinner prepared by Father Joe Krupp and served by his parents and other relatives. The stewardship dinner included Italian pastas, angel food cake, meringue clouds and heavenly hash. Penny Scheiber entertained and Diane Sherry took photographs.
Several guests dressed as saints. Barb Wesley was St. Barbara, the saint of thunder and lightning, and patron saint of the military. Mary Carey dressed as Mary Magdalene, because she had visited her grave in Israel. Sarah Jesuale dressed as the Blessed Virgin. “When I am in trouble, I say a Hail Mary.” Cathy Poll was St. Catherine of Sienna and Rosalyn Martell was St. Joan of Arc.
Father Paul Grehl, (God) and Linda Loveland thanked those in attendance for their stewardship to the church.  Grehl says, “Everything comes from God, time, talent, and treasure. The people here share what they have with others.”
