Shared pregnancy billboard unveiling ceremony draws a large crowd

A crowd of 60 people gathered on the sidewalk of the Womancare abortion clinic at 1601 East Grand River on April 17 to attend the ceremonial unveiling of the new Shared Pregnancy billboard across from the clinic. The group, many whom had prayed and fasted during the recent spring 40 Days for Life Lansing campaign, listened to prolife advocates who collaborated on the project. The billboard sends a positive message and has been called a beacon of hope for abortion-minded women who may see it. Bishop Earl Boyea attended the event and was the first to donate, offering $2,500 to pay for the first month’s rent. The vinyl artwork for the Adams Outdoor Advertising billboard cost $800 and the monthly rental fee is $2,500. Prolife groups are hoping to be able to pay for a full year of advertising to send the message of hope: “Pregnant? Scared? We can help. Call Shared Pregnancy at 517.484.1882. Free Ultrasounds. Free Pregnancy Tests. Long-term Support. For Qualified Clients.”
