Watch: Christ is the streets of Ann Arbor | Corpus Christi 2024

Watch as hundreds of people take to the streets of Ann Arbor to lovingly follow Our Lord Jesus Christ, truly present in the Holy Eucharist, upon the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, Sunday, June 2, 2024.

“The reverence that we bring Our Lord out into the streets, I think, really touches people," says Father Kyle Shinseki, S.J., Pastor of Saint Mary Student Parish, Ann Arbor, June 2.

“There’s this curiosity, this interest in what could this be? Why are people so reverently walking down the street, singing these beautiful hymns together?"

"They know that something special is going on, and we hope that curiosity touches their hearts and… hopefully that will help to share the Good News with them: the Good News of Our Lord’s salvation that He’s brought to us which we celebrate through this procession.”

The Ann Arbor pilgrims followed a two-mile route and, thus, walked for over an hour in prayerful procession from Saint Mary Student Parish through the campus of the University of Michigan before arriving at Saint Thomas the Apostle parish. Ave verum corpus! Enjoy the film.
