Read: Catholic School New Family Grant | A Christmas present to you from Bishop Boyea

Thanks to your incredible generosity to the Stewardship for Saints and Scholars campaign, Bishop Earl Boyea is delighted to announce that all Catholic families who newly enroll in a Catholic school in the Diocese of Lansing are now eligible to receive a New Family Grant of up to $1500 per family.

“There are few better Christmas presents to give your children or grandchildren than the gift of an education at one of the Diocese of Lansing’s 36 Catholic schools,” said Bishop Boyea, December 16.

“That’s why I am always saddened when any Catholic family tells me they feel unable financially to send their children to a Catholic school and why, conversely, I am so delighted to unveil these New Family Grants, funded by the Stewardship for Saints and Scholars campaign, which will make our Catholic schools more affordable to more Catholic families. Merry Christmas!”

Launched last year, Stewardship for Saints & Scholars is a capital campaign for Catholic education in the Diocese of Lansing. At present, it has already raised more than $60 million to help Catholic schools across the Diocese of Lansing become ever more on-mission, affordable and accessible, while also making an authentically Catholic education available to all families who desire it for their children.

The New Family Grant is available to any Catholic family who has not previously had a child enrolled in a Catholic school within the Diocese of Lansing. The details are as follows:

• New families enrolling one child or more in kindergarten-8th grade will receive a $500 tuition grant per family.

• New families enrolling one child or more in high school will receive a $1,000 tuition grant per family.

• New families who receive these grant funds are still eligible to apply for additional scholarships.

“Students in Catholic schools receive a rigorous academic formation, resulting in higher achievement than non-Catholic school peers,” says Tom Maloney, Superintendent for Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Lansing.

“More importantly, our students also grow in virtue as they become disciples of Jesus Christ and are thus freed to discover the young man or woman God is calling them to become, both in this life and the next.”

What a great Christmas present! So, now is the perfect time to explore the great Catholic school options near you! Apply today to take advantage of the New Family Grant, brought to you by the Stewardship for Saints and Scholars Campaign!
