Prayers for a "Gentle Giant": Wendell Quinn R.I.P.

Of your charity, please pray for the repose of the soul of Mr. Wendell Quinn, Bowling Coach at Powers Catholic High School in Flint who died Sunday, April 19, of COVID-19. He was 51 years old. May he rest in peace.

“At 7'2'' Wendell was a gentle giant that loved working with our kids,” said Sally Bartos, Principal of Powers Catholic High School, April 23.

“He made sure that everyone who wanted to be part of the Bowling Team found a home on that team. Wendell loved being part of the Powers Catholic family and he is going to be greatly missed. May he rest in peace."

Wendell Quinn had been bowling coach at Powers Catholic High since 2012. He also worked as a public safety officer at Flint’s Hurley Medical Center.

“It’s not just the public safety department here, but all of the nurses, the front desk staff, everyone here we are grieving as an organization,” said Matthew Murray, Chief of Public Safety at Hurley Medical Center. Requiescat in Pace.
