Fifth Annual Marriage Enrichment Conterence

St. Patrick Church in Brighton hosted “Marriage, Faith and Finances” the 5th annual Marriage Enrichment Conference. Bishop Earl Boyea began the conference with Mass. Seventy-eight couples attended the conference.Thomas Zordan, author of the book "Faith and Finance," spoke about the "just" financial practices of a Catholic family. Zordani said that when you try to separate faith from finances you spend your money in a secular way, instead of being a steward of your money. Clinical counselors, Randall and Therese Cirne's presentation was about communication. They said it is important to schedule time for communication – to pray before and after – and to make it a priority. Therese Cirner also is an adjunct professor at Franciscan University of Steubenville; and Randall Cirner has a master's in clinical counseling and theology.
Attendees said they enjoyed the conference and were glad they had the opportunity to attend. Many said the conference topics were interesting, addressed issues that were pertinent and gave advice that was useful.
