Catholic Charities Celebrates St. Patrick’s Day

“Catholic Charities’ St. Patrick’s Day lunch sale has been a tradition for many years in the Flint community. People look forward to the delicious corned beef sandwiches and homemade coleslaw, as well as funding a good cause,” says Vicky Schultz, president and CEO of Catholic Charities. “I encourage people to order early to make sure they don’t miss out. The event has become so popular we’ve sold out for the last several years.”The annual box lunch fundraiser is March 14, with pre-order drive-thru pickup 10 a.m. to 1p.m. in front of Catholic Charities’ main office at 901 Chippewa Street., next to St. Michael Parish in Flint. Box lunches are $6 with free delivery in Genesee County for orders of 10 or more. Lunches can be ordered now by fax, 810.232.3465 or phone, 810.232.9950 ext. 325/228, and online, ccsgc.org.
Proceeds from all box lunch sales benefit Catholic Charities programs, including the North End, Holy Angels and South Flint Soup Kitchens, as well as the Holy Angels Community Closet and Warming Center, counseling programs and child welfare services.
