In St. John’s Gospel, we read that on the night before Jesus died for us, He spoke about the Holy Spirit. As we begin our Lenten journey, we remember that the goal of the Lenten journey is greater union with God so as to live life more fully alive in the Holy Spirit.
In addition to the prayer, fasting and almsgiving that are divine prescriptions for transformative union with God throughout the penitential season, learning more about how God works in our lives is a way to give God more of our hearts and minds to work with.
This retreat will be full of beautiful prayer and an opportunity to dive into the teachings of Jesus on the Holy Spirit that He gave at The Last Supper. By doing so, your life in the Holy Spirit and daily experience of life in God’s presence will be tremendously blessed and empowered.
Jesus wants to give you His peace and direction. He has graces waiting for you. Take the time this Lent to turn off the noise and to rest with Him on the Detroit and Lansing Catholic Young Adults Lenten Retreat.
