“Beginning with the Easter Triduum as its source of light, the new age of the Resurrection fills the whole liturgical year with its brilliance. Gradually, on either side of this source, the year is transfigured by the liturgy. It really is a "year of the Lord's favor." The economy of salvation is at work within the framework of time, but since its fulfillment in the Passover of Jesus and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, the culmination of history is anticipated "as a foretaste," and the kingdom of God enters into our time.” CCC 1168
With Palm Sunday we enter with the Lord into the holiest week of the year where we anticipate his passion. As we move through the week Wednesday represents Judas betrayal of Jesus. On Holy Thursday we enter into the high point of the Church’s liturgical year, with the Sacred Triduum; three days on our calendar but one beautiful liturgical moment taking us through the passion, death, and resurrection of Our Lord. As we celebrate this Sacred Triduum in our homes at this unique moment in history, let us cultivate an atmosphere of prayer, of worship, of wonder and awe and enter into our salvation history as never before.
