Making Disciples 101 Retreat

Hosted by Diocese of Lansing

As leaders, we need to think through, in advance, how to help all in our parish to negotiate the journey to mature discipleship. The issues at stake are extraordinarily high for individuals, for the Christian community, for the Church, and for the world.

Making Disciples 101 is the first in a series that forms and equips priests, deacons and lay ministers to become leaders who are ‘fruit farmers’: leading a parish or ministry team that helps people become intentional disciples who bear fruit for the life of the world.

During this retreat, you will spend four days (March 20 - 23, 2023) with other leaders within the Diocese of Lansing exploring how to equip yourself as a leader in the Church and take the important steps toward building a parish of intentional disciples.

This retreat will be led by internationally sought after speaker and author, Sherry Weddell, accompanied by Katherine Coolidge from Catherine of Siena Institute. Craig Pohl, Director of Evangelization for the Diocese of Lansing will serve to facilitate the retreat. Mass and sacraments will be celebrated.

This retreat takes place in the Retreat House on the grounds of St. Francis Retreat Center. Each private sleeping room in the Retreat House has a twin bed, desk, chair, and sink. Some rooms share a connecting bathroom, others will use a community bathroom down the hall. The retreat center provides bed linens, pillows and towels.
