Business Manager

St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Ann Arbor

St. Thomas the Apostle Church and School in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Business Manager. This position is responsible for budgeting, financial reporting, banking activities, and the facilities of the church, school and cemetery. Long Term Substitute Teacher 

St. Thomas the Apostle School, Ann Arbor

St. Thomas School, Ann Arbor is seeking a long term substitute teacher for our first grade classroom for the fall of the 2013/14 school year.  This role will be responsible for development and implementation of lesson plans for all core subject areas for this class of approximately 20 students.  Qualified candidates should possess experience with running records and the guided reading program, possess excellent classroom management skills and be able to provide examples of parent/teacher newsletters/correspondence.  Experience with conducting morning meeting and creating a strong classroom community will be essential as well as the importance of establishing strong professional relationships with the families served. 

Requirements for the position are:  a bachelor’s degree in elementary education with a current MI teaching certificate, a ZA endorsement is preferred.  Applicants must be a practicing Catholic and have completed the Protecting God’s Children courses for the Diocese of Lansing prior to beginning the position.

Learning Resource Center – 2013-2014 

Father Gabriel Richard High School

Father Gabriel Richard High School is looking for an individual to work full-time in the Learning Resource Center for the 2013-2014 school year.  This individual will have the opportunity to assist students who have various learning, social, and/or emotional difficulties.  Responsibilities will also include helping students with skill development and establishing accommodations that will aid in managing the challenges associated with numerous disabilities.  This individual will also help create and monitor individual educational programming and will be able to collaborate effectively with the Ann Arbor Public School team.  This educational professional must also be able to write accommodation plans, conduct different types of behavior/cognitive assessment, complete preparation for standardized assessment, conduct remedial lessons on a variety of secondary subjects, and teach self-advocacy strategies to students.  Collaboration and communication with students’ family members and faculty will be a critical skill that this individual must possess.
 
Educational requirement:  Applicant must have teaching certification and a master’s degree in special education.

Director of Religious Education

St. Michael Parish is seeking a Director of Religious Education.  Successful candidate must be a faith-filled, practicing Catholic with excellent organizational, administrative and communication skills.  Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products, as well as ability to learn new software applications is required.  Duties include directing our 1st-6th Religious Education program, First Reconciliation and First Eucharist preparation, Children's Liturgy of the Word, and other child and family events and activities.

St. Michael Parish is seeking a professional, courteous individual to serve as our Faith Formation Secretary.  Successful candidate must have excellent organizational skills, accurate keyboarding skills, working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products, as well as ability to learn new software applications, a pleasant and welcoming manner and willingness to work in a team environment.

Middle School Teacher

Part-time Religious Education Secretary

High School Math Teacher
